I live in Buenos Aires and write about Argentina and other places I like. For me, traveling is a great possibility not only for discovering new destinations but also for learning about myself (that is usually hidden behind everyday life). Olga started traveling to different countries at the age of 24, and since then, no one can stop her. Writing is Olga's second passion; she composes fairy tales for children and writes travel articles on whythisplace.com

Olga started traveling around Europe in 2011 and, since then, has traveled it up and down. Then she became interested in South America and eventually moved with her husband to the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires.

Olga has always loved writing fairy tales for children; now she also writes travel notes and shares her impressions and findings with readers of whythisplace.com

Sharing an Embarrassing Travel Moment

"When I was a girl, for some reason, it was not customary in my family to travel. The maximum was to visit our relatives who lived in a neighboring city. Therefore, I made my first big trip abroad as an adult. I was 24 years old, and I went to Germany for vacation. It was an extraordinary journey, but my strongest impression from there was quite strange - the smell of washing powder. People's clothes smelled faintly of something fresh, pleasant, exotic, and outlandish! Of course, it was the most common washing powder, just its smell was unfamiliar to me. But my brain has forever linked that smell and foreign travel. And so far, although many years have passed and I have visited many countries, if I feel this smell, it immediately seems that I am somewhere in the far, far land in the middle of adventure!"
