Another 5 Websites for Nomads in 2024
Written by Nadia Podrabinek
Hello, my name is Nadia. I usually write about traveling (there are so many places to fit all the lifestyles), relocation, and living in a foreign country (adapting to a different culture). My travels stretch beyond Spain, with journeys to the US, Italy, Norway, Portugal, and France. Relocating to Spain in 2018, I lived in cities from Barcelona to Madrid, currently calling Valencia home. Follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn! ... show more
As you may remember, this blog is not only about travel but also about the nomadic lifestyle. Today, I am sharing a list of webpages to make it easier to see the cost of living in different cities and decide where to relocate.
And it is not just about Numbeo and Nomadlist (you are probably already familiar with those).
Here is a list from my bookmarks for a comprehensive assessment of a new place.
Uses Numbeo data but with a user-friendly interface and filters. You can set your parameters—budget, family size, lifestyle, housing type, and more. The site will provide fairly accurate options! It’s a great tool not only for nomads and much more objective than Nomadlist.
2. Expatistan
An alternative to Numbeo, works almost the same way. The data differs, so it’s interesting to compare.
3. Livingcost
This is a mix of Numbeo and Nomadlist data, gathered from many public sources. Design is a copycat of Nomadlist.
A good search tool for short trips with complex filters and a large database of locations. You can find destinations that fit your budget and assess the budget for a specific place.
5. World Data Cost of Living Index
A general ranking by country, which seems quite accurate, but it’s an average overview—covering cost of living, income, and purchasing power.
