Burj Al Arab

Written by Nadia Podrabinek

Burj Al Arab is a luxurious 5-star hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
It has become widely known as a “seven-star” hotel, though the property management denies having ever made this claim themselves.
It is also the tallest hotel in the world, standing on an artificial island 920 feet (280 m) away from Jumeirah beach.

The exterior of this grand building consists of a sail-shaped silhouette, making it one of the most recognizable landmarks in Dubai.
The Burj Al Arab was designed by architect Tom Wright and opened its doors to guests in December 1999. Inside, there are more than 200 luxury suites with balconies boasting stunning views across the Arabian Gulf or toward Palm Island and beyond.
